Russian Bank Pinged Trump Org Servers 2,800 Times During Campaign, Now Says They were Framed

In an interesting turn of events in the crusade to validate Donald Trump’s unfounded claim that President Obama tapped the wires at Trump Tower during the election, a Russian bank implicated in an FBI investigation into server communications between the bank and the Trump Organization is now crying victim.

Alfa Bank, the largest Russian oligarch controlled bank in that country said in a statement on Friday that hackers attacked their server 3 times using attempted domain name server (DNS) going all the way back to February.

The bank claims as of now unidentified individuals made these DNS requests to the Trump Organization server (located in Trump Tower) in order to make it look like Alfa Bank servers were trying to communicate with the Trump Organization’s server.

According to Alfa Bank: “The cyberattacks are an attempt by unknown parties to manufacture the illusion of contact between Alfa Bank’s DNS servers and ‘Trump servers’. We have gone to the U.S. Justice Department and offered our complete cooperation to get to the bottom of this sham and fraud.”

Alfa Bank claims that queries beginning on February 18th made it appear that they were coming from MOSCow.ALFAintRa.nET, and the bank also claims that the use of upper and lower case letters proves that a human did this.

The bank said the other 2 attacks occurred on March 11th and 13th.

The explanation of mysterious communication between Alfa and the Trump Organization is interesting because thanks to Donald Trump’s unsubstantiated tweets about President Obama tapping the wires at Trump Tower, the media has been alerted to a bit of information from an article written by Louise Mensch , a former member of the British Parliament, who used anonymous sources to state that a secret FISA warrant was granted in relation to an FBI investigation into a possible secret channel of email communication from the Trump Organization to a Russian bank.

Mensch said “the FISA warrant was granted in connection with the investigation of suspected activity between the server (in Trump Tower) and two banks, SVB Bank and Alfa Bank.”

Alfa Bank is owned by Russian oligarchs who have ties to Vladimir Putin. That in itself is peculiar but even stranger is the communication between the Trump Organization’s server located in Trump Tower, and Alfa Bank because that same financial institution sent over 2,800 pings were sent to the Trump Organization’s server during May through to September of 2016.

This means that once an hour for 4 months Alfa Bank pinged the Trump Organization server. It also did not happen during the time frame Alfa Bank now claims they were DNS attacked by mysterious hackers.

This is the same time period that the Russians were manipulating the 2016 election by stealing data from the DNC and John Podesta’s email account, and giving that information to Wikileaks who began publishing the data.
