Sam Webb, leader of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) came out to support President Barack Obama’s re-election in 2012. Webb said that with Obama’s victory “that is the ground on which people fight going forward” with “the emergence of a multi-racial, male-female, working-class-based electoral coalition that has the potential to transform America in the years and decades ahead.”

Webb claimed that if Mitt Romney had been elected it would have been “a reversal of seventy years of social progress. In a matter of three months’ time, the entire body of social legislation dating back to the New Deal could have been expunged.”

The New Deal Coalition (NDC) was championed by former President Franklin D. Roosevelt who forged a coalition of Democratic state party organizations, city machines, labor unions, minorities, farmers and others. It was a declaration of socialism that fell apart in 1968, yet has been the expletory model ever since.

The CPUSA was elated that Obama would continue to lead America. They urged communist followers to “act with boldness” and advance communist philosophy within a “push[ing of] history forward.”

Russian propaganda machine RIA Novosti stated that Dimitry Peskov, press secretary for Russian President Vladimir Putin, said: “For Russia, Obama’s victory will be beneficial.”

RIA Novosti, the propaganda apparatus for the Russian government masquerading as a “news agency” that dates back to the USSR Council of People’s Commissioners and the Communist Party Central Committee whose task was to “oversee work to cover international, military events and the events of the country’s domestic life in periodicals and on the radio.”

Insight into the agenda of Obama concerning Communism and its implementation in America may have come from a meeting between Obama and former Russian President Dimitry Medvedev. The two men did not realize that their microphones were on as Obama assured Medvedev: “This is my last election. After my election, I’ll have more flexibility.”

Medvedev remarked: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir. I stand with you.”

Mainstream propaganda declared “President Obama has succeeded in transforming America. The constitutional republic is dead. A socialist empire has been born.”

Lieutenant General Ion Mihai Pacepa, defected former top aide to the Romanian Communist regime, said that an alliance between the Democratic Party and the Communist Party is underway in America. Pacepa explained: “The Democratic Party has become dangerously infected with the Marxism virus. I recognize the symptoms because I once lived through them, and I believe it is my obligation as an American citizen to help the conservative movement to prevent any further spread of Marxism in my adopted country.”

Pacepa pointed to markers of communism that were emerging under Obama’s rule:

• Graduated income tax
• Abolition of rights of inheritance
• Centralization of credit to the State
• Extension of instruments of production owned by the State
• Centralization of communication and transport to the State

The 2012 Democratic National Platform agenda coincidentally reflected with Socialist plans. It stated: “We support establishing permanent, normal trade relations with Russia because it would be good for the US economy, for US businesses, and for US workers if we do.”

In December of 2012, Obama signed HR 6156, the “Russia and Moldova Jackson-Vanik Repeal and Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act” that altered trade relations with Russia. In response, the CPUSA have tried to lobby to have this law repealed to allow Russia access to US technology for the purposes of reverse engineering for military use.

Some members of the Democratic Party have hidden their affiliation with Communist and Socialist ideology by referring to themselves as Progressive Democrats.

However, this argument of semantics actually has roots in the socialist reformation of the Progressive Movement that was founded out of marches toward worker and class equality as outlined in the early 20th century.

The Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) “seek to build a party and government controlled by citizens, not corporate elites-with policies that serve the broad public interest, not just private interests.” Operating inside the Democratic Party, PDA has been influential in legislation that reflects socialist philosophy such as issues worker rights, protecting Social Security, pay equality, national healthcare and economic justice.

PDA also champions environmentalism and ending corporate rule with this assistance of influential officials and media personalities such as:

• Sen. Elizabeth Warren
• Rep. Jim McGovern
• RT Host Thom Hartmann
• Rep. Donna Edwards
• Rep. Barbara Lee
• Rep. John Conyers

House Representative Allen West came out in 2012 and declared that by his estimate 80 members of Congress were part of the Communist Party. West said: “I believe there is about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party.”

Angela Melvin, spokeswoman for West explained that he was referring to the 76 members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Melvin stated: “The Communist Party has publicly referred to the Progressive Caucus as its allies. The Progressive Caucus speaks for itself. These individuals certainly aren’t proponents of free markets or individual economic freedom.”
