The Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) needs specialized education and assistance for users to even understand the legislation.
To help, the Obama administration has allocated $67 million to assist Americans in signing up for socialized medical care and an unconstitutional financial penalty for not obeying the federal government.
In fact, “more than 100 navigator programs will be on a tight schedule to assemble, train and dispatch workers throughout the 34 states that will have federally run marketplaces. The 16 states that run their own marketplaces fund their own navigator programs.”
Kathleen Sebelius, secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) received a letter from a group of attorneys who expressed their concern “about the poor training and vetting of these ObamaCare navigators, expressing fears that ‘navigators wouldn’t undergo proper criminal background checks.’”
Groups that will be granted navigators are:
• United Way
• The Urban League
• Mental Health America
• National Hispanic Council on Aging
• Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood “will receive a total of about $655,000 from the federal government to help consumers navigate their insurance options under ObamaCare.”
Navigator programs for Planned Parenthood’s affiliates will be based in Iowa, Montana and New Hampshire; including various academic institutions, Catholic health agencies and other universities.
Thanks to the lobbying of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAC), who has financially supported the Obama presidency, this alliance to ensure that the public continues to have access to clinics that perform abortions.
In an effort to intimidate groups out of their 1st Amendment rights, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) asked that Coalition for Life of Iowa (CLI) to explain “how all of your activities, including the prayer meetings held outside of Planned Parenthood are considered educational as defined under 501(c)(3). Organizations exempt under 501(c)(3) may present opinions with scientific or medical facts. Please explain in detail the activities at the prayer meetings. Also, please provide the percentage of time your organization spends on prayer groups as compared with the other activities of the organization. Please explain in detail the signs that are being held up outside of Planned Parenthood and explain how they are considered educational.’”
House Representative Diane Black was upset by the federal grants to Planned Parenthood.
Black said: “Despite assurances from the President when the law was passed that Obamacare would not give federal funding to abortion providers.”
While Obamacare supports Planned Parenthood, a bill in Texas drew attention from the nation as this legislation outlined that doctors would have special “admitting privileges at nearby hospitals [and] only allow abortions in surgical centers, dictate when abortion pills are taken and ban abortions after 20 weeks.”
The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (PCUCPA) is slated to challenge Roe v. Wade which legalized abortions at the time at the fetus becomes “viable” – or before 24 weeks of gestation.
The Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) states that there is “a wealth of anatomical, behavioral and physiological evidence shows that the developing unborn child (i.e., the human fetus) is capable of experiencing tremendous pain by 20 weeks post-fertilization.”
The House of Representatives voted in favor of the abortion ban, stating that there would be a national ban on abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
